Pay
$400 proposed

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

This job asks for no licence or supervision. Never disturb dry soil without gloves and a dust mask, and wash your hands after sampling.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. Go to the place this job's title names and pick a spot in a bed or plot that stands for the soil growers plant in.
  2. Record a GPS waypoint at the spot.
  3. Clear loose litter from a patch of bare soil, then set the infiltration ring on the patch and press it gently into the surface.
  4. Pour water into the ring up to a depth of 1 inch, start a timer, and record the minutes the water takes to soak in. Photograph the ring test.
  5. Take a small lump of surface soil from beside the ring, crumble it gently between your fingers, and give it an aggregate stability class from 1 to 6 for how well it holds together.
  6. Look at the soil and the patch for visible organic matter and roots, and write a short note on what you see.
  7. Write one line on what the readings suggest the beds need, then record the photo, GPS waypoint, soak-in minutes, class and organic matter note in the proof record.

What counts as done

  • Photo of infiltration ring test
  • GPS waypoint
  • Infiltration time (min for 1 inch)
  • Aggregate stability class (1-6)
  • Visible organic matter / root note

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Soil Health. Soil health is the discovery, now written into USDA standards, that soil is not dirt but a living body: it breathes, digests, holds water, and can sicken or recover. The tests are wonderfully physical. Time how fast water soaks in. See whether a clod holds together in water or falls apart. Smell for the sweetness of organic matter. Mastery looks like a farmer who can read a handful of ground like a page. This packet is one plot examined by those methods and recorded, one honest page in the story of a piece of land.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1783449273353_twcl8r6","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
