All of it: the words, the place, the proof

Meridian Public Library wants a yearly, signed record that every drinking fountain in the building meets safe-water standards. This rolls up a year of checks into one certification walk the library can post for patrons.

Fund it for $300. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.

What it looks like
A sampler collects a water sample from the well head or tap at Meridian Public Library, washes hands before and after, and reads nitrate and coliform test results, routing any elevated reading to a certified lab.

A description of this kind of work, not a record that it happened here.

Pay
$300 proposed

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
photo of sample point + GPS + nitrate reading + coliform result + chain-of-custody note

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

The creator wallet. Its signature is what approves proof and settles the wage.

Safety, read before you claim

No treatment or plumbing changes. Wash hands before/after sampling. Elevated results route to a certified lab / local health department.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • GPS-capable phone
  • test kit for each named analyte (nitrate/coliform/arsenic/lead as specified)
  • clean sample bottle + label
  • nitrile gloves
  • camera

Steps

  1. 1. Navigate to the sampling point; confirm GPS is inside the posting radius; record the waypoint.
  2. 2. Photograph the tap or wellhead with a legible timestamp.
  3. 3. If first-draw is required, sample after >=6h stagnation; if flushed, run the tap 2-3 minutes first, then sample.
  4. 4. Fill the bottle without touching the inside; cap immediately.
  5. 5. Run each test per kit instructions; wait the exact develop/incubation time; read and record every value with units.
  6. 6. Record coliform as present/absent after the stated incubation window.
  7. 7. Enter all readings, units, GPS, time, and photos into the proof record; sign it.

What counts as done

  • Photo of the well head / tap sampled
  • GPS waypoint
  • Nitrate reading (mg/L)
  • Total-coliform test result (presence/absence)
  • Sample date + chain-of-custody note

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Drinking Water Safety. Drinking water safety rests on hard numbers: the EPA and the World Health Organization publish exact limits for lead, bacteria, nitrates, and the rest, the line between water that is safe and water that only looks safe. Clear water can fail the test; slightly cloudy water can pass it. Only the test knows. Mastery means clean sampling habits, honest custody of every sample, and readings a stranger can trust. This packet is one correct sample or one careful reading, taken by the book. Every safe glass of water stands on somebody having done this properly.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1783450809274_zbtyhnk","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
