All of it: the words, the place, the proof

Document the paint condition in this pre-1978 Baltimore home before the planned renovation begins. A pre-1978 home in Baltimore, MD is planning a renovation with no lead-paint documentation. Getting the paint condition on record first keeps the crew from poisoning the family it's meant to help.

Fund it for $508. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.

What it looks like
A surveyor at Family home walks room by room, photographing the paint condition without scraping, sanding or disturbing it. The visit ends with a paint inventory and a map routing any risky work to a certified lead-safe firm.

A description of this kind of work, not a record that it happened here.

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
year-built evidence + paint-condition photo inventory + disturbance map + certified-firm/funding routing

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

Safety, read before you claim

Documentation only, NEVER scrape, sand, sample, or disturb paint. Visible chips/dust in a child's space → urgent flag to the household + health department.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • camera (close-up capable for paint-condition photos)
  • tablet/clipboard with the room-by-room paint-condition checklist
  • flashlight
  • tape measure (deteriorated-paint extent, window/door friction surfaces)
  • county assessor / permit record for year-built confirmation

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm the home's year built from assessor/permit records and the household's renovation intent (which rooms, which surfaces, kids or a pregnant occupant in the home?). Pre-1978 + planned paint disturbance = the RRP Rule applies to the work, record that determination.
  2. 2. Walk room by room photographing paint condition: intact vs deteriorated (peeling, chipping, chalking, flaking) with approximate square footage per surface, without touching, scraping, or disturbing anything.
  3. 3. Document friction and impact surfaces separately (window sashes/wells, door edges, stair treads, porch floors), the highest-exposure surfaces for children, plus any visible paint dust or chips at floors and window troughs.
  4. 4. Map the household's planned renovation against the inventory: which planned activities would disturb painted surfaces (and exceed RRP de minimis. >6 sq ft interior / >20 sq ft exterior per room/component), and which are paint-safe as planned.
  5. 5. Assemble the lead-safe renovation package: the room-by-room condition inventory, the disturbance map, the requirement that a certified firm perform testing (EPA-recognized kits or an XRF by a certified inspector) and all disturbing work, and the local lead-hazard-control grant / health-department programs the family may qualify for.
  6. 6. Review with the household in plain words: what can proceed now, what waits for the certified firm, why the kids' window sills matter most; enter photos, GPS/address, year-built evidence, the inventory + disturbance map; sign. The family's claim of a lead-safe renovation = this package: Real, Proven, One-of-one.

What counts as done

  • Year-built confirmation + RRP-applicability determination
  • Room-by-room paint-condition photos
  • Disturbance map marking paint-safe vs certified-firm-only work
  • GPS / address confirm
  • Routing package with certified-firm and funding paths

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1783451583434_cr327n4","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Open, but not claimable yet. restricted: permit-required, regulated. Regulated or permit-required work cannot be claimed on this rail yet. It stays readable; voting and pledging are free, and funding is separate from claiming.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
