Angeles National Forest Bobcat Fire recovery area, Mount Wilson CA
Lead the tree-tally round across the Angeles National Forest Bobcat Fire recovery area reforestation plots, Mount Wilson CA.
A lead technician wraps a diameter tape around a tree trunk at breast height in a reforestation plot at the site and ties fresh flagging to any worn boundary marker. Read all of it
Not funded yet. Settles as earned credit, $400 proposed.
Proof it takes, the deadline, the level
- Proofevery registered PSP tallied in one coordinated round + consolidated dataset: Real, Proven, One-of-one
- Open until2027-07-10

All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Run the full tree-tally round across every plot at Angeles National Forest Bobcat Fire recovery area, Mount Wilson, CA. The Angeles National Forest Bobcat Fire recovery area reforestation project has grown to several permanent sample plots. Someone needs to run the full tally across every plot in one coordinated pass so the stand-level estimate is comparable year over year.
Fund it for $400. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
Safety, read before you claim
Check current fire-danger and closure status before entering a post-fire recovery area, and confirm access permission before the transect. Never approach a leaning or unstable snag, route around it instead, and carry standard regional wildlife-awareness gear.
The full safety list for this job:
- Post-fire hazards include standing dead snags, unstable burned root systems, and washed-out access.
- Leakage-belt walks may cross private or adjacent ownership; confirm before crossing.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Bring
- GPS-capable phone or survey-grade GPS
- diameter tape (DBH tape)
- hypsometer or clinometer for tree height
- permanent plot-boundary markers/flagging
- measuring tape for plot radius
- data sheet or tablet for tree tally
- camera
- compass
Steps
- 1. Navigate to the permanent sample plot (PSP) center; confirm GPS matches the registered plot ID and re-flag the plot boundary if markers are degraded.
- 2. Photograph the plot center and canopy condition from the fixed photo-point bearing.
- 3. Tally every tree at or above the minimum DBH threshold inside the plot boundary: species, DBH measured at breast height (1.3m), and status (live/dead/leaning).
- 4. Measure total height with a hypsometer/clinometer for the height subsample specified by the monitoring plan.
- 5. Record understory/regeneration counts below the DBH threshold per the monitoring plan's regeneration-tally protocol.
- 6. Walk the assigned leakage-belt transect around the project boundary; record any new land-use conversion, grazing pressure, or clearing activity with GPS waypoints and photos.
- 7. Note any disturbance (fire, pest, windthrow, encroachment) within the plot or leakage belt.
- 8. Enter plot ID, GPS, full tree tally, height subsample, leakage-belt observations, and photos into the proof record; sign.
What counts as done
- GPS matched to the registered permanent sample plot (PSP) ID, boundary markers intact or re-flagged
- Every tree at/above the minimum DBH threshold tallied: species, DBH, status
- Height subsample recorded per the monitoring plan's protocol
- Understory/regeneration count logged below the DBH threshold
- Leakage-belt transect walked in full, any land-use-change observation logged with GPS + photo
- Consolidated round-level summary: every registered PSP tallied, disturbance flags reconciled across the stand
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1783718533974_z1409gu","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
