Steps

1. 1. Confirm the room/unit and address; coordinate to sample during normal occupancy where relevant.
2. 2. Photograph the space and any staining/damp/mold.
3. 3. Place the monitor in the occupied zone; log CO2 over >=1 occupied hour.
4. 4. Record PM2.5, temperature, and relative humidity.
5. 5. For moisture/mold scope, take moisture-meter readings at affected vs baseline areas and estimate visible mold area.
6. 6. Note ventilation type and any obvious deficiencies.
7. 7. Enter the logs, readings, extent notes, photos into the proof record; sign.

If it does not match the plan

• Carbon monoxide > 9 ppm sustained in an occupied space, or any audible CO alarm -> STOP: life-safety hazard. Evacuate, ventilate, and call the gas utility / fire department now. The agent escalates immediately, never sources the leak (NIOSH/ASHRAE CO).
• CO2 sustained > 2000 ppm in an occupied space -> flag acute under-ventilation: recommend increasing outdoor air and reducing occupancy immediately and report to the facility manager (well above the 1000 ppm ASHRAE 62.1 comfort flag).
• CO2 sustained > 1000 ppm -> flag under-ventilation vs ASHRAE 62.1.
