All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Plant a shade tree in the empty well on the Broadway corridor. The canopy count is expected to find an empty, curb-cut tree well on the 35th Street & Broadway corridor with no tree in it, full sun on the sidewalk all summer.
Fund it for $340. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
Safety, read before you claim
No special training is needed; wear gloves, closed-toe shoes and a hi-vis vest near traffic. Use hand tools only, and do not dig until the call-before-you-dig utility check confirms the well is clear; call 811 before any digging.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Photograph the empty well as found for the before photo.
- Perform a call-before-you-dig utility check and confirm the well is clear for hand digging.
- Dig the planting hole with hand tools sized to the tree's root ball.
- Set the tree in the hole and backfill with soil, firming it in by hand.
- Set a stake and tie to hold the young tree upright.
- Photograph the planted, staked tree for the after photo.
- Record the species and the planting date, and note the GPS location with the photos.
What counts as done
- Before photo of the empty well
- After photo of the planted, staked tree
- Species and planting-date note
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Urban Canopy. Urban canopy is the layer of leaves over a city, and it is infrastructure as surely as the pipes below the street: shade that cools a block in a heat wave, roots that drink a storm. The i-Tree protocol turns it into something you can count, tree by tree, so a city knows what it has and what it is losing. Mastery looks like a person who can read a whole street's trees at a walk. This packet is a piece of that census: a few trees observed carefully and recorded where the record counts.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1784344060214_iui920d","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
