Steps

4. 4. Commission: energize per the manufacturer checklist, verify charge/discharge operation and backup transfer (if islanding), and register monitoring.
5. 5. VERIFY: pass the AHJ inspection; photograph the installed system, clearances, and labels; record the commissioning report and leave the owner the operating guide.

If it does not match the plan

• Siting cannot meet NFPA 855 clearances -> STOP: relocate per plan review; never shave clearances.
• Unlisted (non-UL-9540) equipment on site -> STOP: do not install.
• Any sign of cell damage/swelling/thermal event -> evacuate the area and call the manufacturer line + fire non-emergency; never handle a damaged battery.
