Clear the tideline litter from Ormond Beach's snowy-plover shore (2026-07-18)

The same beach that hosts nesting snowy plovers collects the harbor's and highway's plastic. A monthly tideline sweep, run to the plover rules, is direct habitat care at one of the coast's most important sites. Standard: USFWS western snowy plover beach guidelines; Coastal Cleanup data protocol. SDG 14. Proof: tally card + haul photo + stretch GPS Method (USFWS western snowy plover beach guidelines; Coastal Cleanup data protocol. SDG 14.): 1. Check the plover-season rules posted at access points; stay on wet sand and outside any posted enclosure. 2. Sweep the assigned tideline stretch; bag litter, tally by category (Coastal Cleanup card). 3. Weigh or estimate bag weights; photograph the haul. 4. Pack out everything; submit tally, weights, photos, GPS of stretch. Done when: tally card + haul photo + stretch GPS

Pay
$80 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

Proof
tally card + haul photo + stretch GPS

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 60–120 minutes. Method of record: NOAA coastal habitat (eelgrass / salt marsh) extent + condition

Bring

Steps

  1. 1. Check the tide table; plan to work the low tide; tell someone your plan and return time.
  2. 2. Navigate to the habitat edge; record GPS waypoints along the patch/edge.
  3. 3. Photograph the meadow/marsh at low tide.
  4. 4. Record shoot/stem density per quadrat and estimate patch extent (or edge scarp height for marsh).
  5. 5. Note condition (epiphytes, dieback, wrack) and adjacent land use/armoring.
  6. 6. Enter density, extent, condition, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
