Patch the cracked rowhouse stoops on an invited Chester block

Chester's brick rowhouse blocks are proud and old, and their concrete stoops are cracking faster than fixed incomes can pay contractors. A patched stoop prevents trips, keeps water out of the foundation line, and visibly signals a block still cared for. Standard: Older-housing exterior maintenance per HUD Healthy Homes; SDG 11. Proof: Before/during/after photos per stoop Method (Older-housing exterior maintenance per HUD Healthy Homes; SDG 11.): 1. Confirm the host invitation, then sweep and wire-brush each cracked area clean. 2. Wet the cracks and work patch mix in full depth with a trowel. 3. Feather smooth with a slight water-shedding slope. 4. Tape off the step while it cures and tell the host the cure time. 5. Photograph before, during, and after with GPS and date. Done when: Before/during/after photos per stoop

Pay
$80 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 30–60 minutes. Method of record: Minor masonry/concrete stoop-step crack patch — hydraulic-cement first aid for a rowhouse front stoop, entry-level, ground-level only

Steps

  1. 1. ASSESS: photograph and measure each crack/spall on the stoop tread and risers; confirm the crack is a surface/shallow patch candidate (hairline to ~1/2 inch, not a structural step separation) and that the stoop is stable to stand on.
  2. 2. Clear loose debris, dirt and old crumbling material from the crack with a wire brush and shop vac; dampen per the patch product's instructions.
  3. 3. Mix and apply the hydraulic cement or concrete patch compound, packing the crack fully and troweling it flush with the surrounding surface.
  4. 4. Cure per the product's instructions (keep foot traffic and water off during cure) and photograph the finished patch from the same before vantage.

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
