South Tucson's plazas and gathering spots along the S 6th Avenue corridor bake unusable from May to September. A properly tensioned shade sail over a host site's seating area returns a public place to the neighborhood for the half of the year it's currently abandoned to the sun. Agree sail placement and anchor points with the host site manager. 2. Install ground-anchored posts or confirm existing solid anchor points at or below 8 feet working height. 3. Attach the UV-rated sail with turnbuckles at each corner and tension evenly, all work from the ground. 4. Check clearance, tension, and hardware tightness. 5. If it does not match the plan

• NEVER perform repair or enter the roadway/public right-of-way -> documentation and coordination only.
• Any severity:critical (e.g., live downed wire, open utility vault) -> flag immediately to the responsible agency; keep clear.
