intermediate work · Approved park site, south Redding parks off Bonnyview Road, Redding, CA 96001
Plant a shade grove at a bare south Redding park
South Redding's parks serve the city's hottest, least-shaded neighborhoods, where summer afternoons hit 110°F and families without air conditioning need somewhere free and cool. A grove of valley-suited shade trees at an approved park site is decades of free cooling planted in a day. Standard: CAL FIRE urban forestry planting standards; SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities. Proof: Before/after photos of the planted grove Method (CAL FIRE urban forestry planting standards; SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities.): 1. Confirm the approved planting plan and utility marks and photograph the bare site. 2. Dig holes twice the root-ball width, no deeper than the ball. 3. Set each tree flare at grade, backfill, and water in deeply. 4. Build basins and mulch rings off the trunks; stake loosely only where exposed. 5. Photograph the planted grove and log species and positions. Done when: Before/after photos of the planted grove
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 30–60 minutes. Method of record: i-Tree canopy / street-tree inventory
Bring
- GPS phone
- DBH tape or measuring tape
- tree ID reference
- camera
- hi-vis vest
Steps
- 1. Walk the corridor; record a GPS waypoint at each tree.
- 2. Photograph each surveyed tree.
- 3. Record species (best estimate), condition class (good/fair/poor/dead), and DBH (diameter at breast height).
- 4. Count vacant planting sites.
- 5. Enter the per-tree records, vacant-site count, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.
If it does not match the plan
- Dead or hazardous tree observed -> flag for the responsible agency (no removal by surveyor).
- High vacant-site count -> recommend a planting plan for the corridor.
What counts as done
- Per-tree species + condition + DBH recorded
- Vacant planting sites counted
- GPS waypoint per tree
- Photo per surveyed tree
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
