Replant native shrubs on an owner-invited fire-scarred Weed lot

The burned edges of Weed lost their manzanita, ceanothus, and oak understory to the Mill Fire, and what returns on its own first is cheatgrass — which burns again. Replanting fire-adapted natives on owner-invited, flat, cleared ground rebuilds habitat and puts a less flammable landscape back around the town's edges. Standard: CAL FIRE/NRCS post-fire native revegetation practice; SDG 15 Life on Land. Proof: Before/after photos with species log Method (CAL FIRE/NRCS post-fire native revegetation practice; SDG 15 Life on Land.): 1. Confirm the owner's invitation and photograph the planting area. 2. Plant the native shrub and oak stock at the spacing on the plan, in hand-dug holes with the root crown at grade. 3. Water each plant in deeply and build a small basin. 4. Mulch each basin, kept off the stems, and mark plants against the browse. 5. Photograph the planted area and log species and counts. Done when: Before/after photos with species log

$340 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 45–90 minutes. Method of record: USFS BAER soil burn severity + water-repellency assessment

Bring

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm the burn area is open/safe to enter; navigate to a transect; record GPS.
  2. 2. Photograph the transect capturing ground cover and ash.
  3. 3. Classify soil burn severity (low/moderate/high) at 3 points.
  4. 4. Run the water-drop penetration test; record repellency (time for a drop to absorb).
  5. 5. Estimate remaining ground-cover percent and slope.
  6. 6. Enter severity class, repellency, ground cover, slope, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
