Mulch the base of a young tree in a Marrakech garden (2026-07-19)
Bare soil around young trees in Marrakech's gardens loses moisture fast to evaporation in desert heat — a mulch ring holds water at the roots far longer between waterings. Standard: UN-Habitat / FAO urban-forestry guidance — SDG 11 & SDG 15 (Life on Land). Proof: Before/after photos of the tree base. Method (UN-Habitat / FAO urban-forestry guidance — SDG 11 & SDG 15 (Life on Land).): 1. Clear litter and compacted debris from around the tree base. 2. Loosen the top inch of soil by hand, avoiding the trunk. 3. Spread a 2-3 inch mulch ring around the base, kept off the trunk. 4. Water the mulched area thoroughly. 5. Photograph the finished mulch ring. Done when: Before/after photos of the tree base.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 30–60 minutes. Method of record: i-Tree canopy / street-tree inventory
Bring
- GPS phone
- DBH tape or measuring tape
- tree ID reference
- camera
- hi-vis vest
Steps
- 1. Walk the corridor; record a GPS waypoint at each tree.
- 2. Photograph each surveyed tree.
- 3. Record species (best estimate), condition class (good/fair/poor/dead), and DBH (diameter at breast height).
- 4. Count vacant planting sites.
- 5. Enter the per-tree records, vacant-site count, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.
If it does not match the plan
- Dead or hazardous tree observed -> flag for the responsible agency (no removal by surveyor).
- High vacant-site count -> recommend a planting plan for the corridor.
What counts as done
- Per-tree species + condition + DBH recorded
- Vacant planting sites counted
- GPS waypoint per tree
- Photo per surveyed tree
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
