Build and protect a shared catchment source box for the Keaukaha neighborhood (2026-07-20)

Keaukaha's shared neighborhood catchment source needs a protective box to keep debris and contamination out of the water people actually rely on. This advanced rung is the credentialed-craft finish of Hilo's rain-catchment ladder, serving the whole neighborhood instead of one home. Standard: SDG 6, Clean Water and Sanitation, protected catchment source Proof: Photos show the completed, sealed protective box around the source Method (SDG 6, Clean Water and Sanitation, protected catchment source): 1. Confirm the source location and existing catchment structure with the neighborhood contact 2. Clear the area around the source of debris and loose soil 3. Build a protective box frame around the source opening 4. Grade the surrounding ground to direct surface runoff away from the source 5. Seal the box lid to keep out debris while allowing access for maintenance Done when: Photos show the completed, sealed protective box around the source

Pay
$500 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 30–60 minutes. Method of record: EPA drinking-water sampling (3Ts / LCR first-draw where lead is in scope)

Bring

Steps

  1. 1. Navigate to the sampling point; confirm GPS is inside the posting radius; record the waypoint.
  2. 2. Photograph the tap or wellhead with a legible timestamp.
  3. 3. If first-draw is required, sample after >=6h stagnation; if flushed, run the tap 2-3 minutes first, then sample.
  4. 4. Fill the bottle without touching the inside; cap immediately.
  5. 5. Run each test per kit instructions; wait the exact develop/incubation time; read and record every value with units.
  6. 6. Record coliform as present/absent after the stated incubation window.
  7. 7. Enter all readings, units, GPS, time, and photos into the proof record; sign it.

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
