Arena Cove & Pier, Point Arena, CA 95468
Document the rocky-intertidal condition.
A surveyor on dry ground above the tideline at Arena Cove & Pier zooms a camera in on the tidepools and rock, adding a photo record of species cover and any debris. Read all of it
Not funded yet. Settles as earned credit, $90 proposed.
Proof it takes, the deadline, the level
- Proofdocument-only stand-off photo log from a dry, safe vantage above the tideline + tide-table check + GPS
- Open until2026-10-23
- Levelentry
All of it: the words, the place, the proof
Document the rocky-intertidal condition at Arena Cove, station 2 -- Arena Cove & Pier, Point Arena, CA 95468. The rocky-intertidal shelf beside Arena Cove has no current volunteer-level photo record of tidepool condition (species cover, visible stress, debris), and no independent baseline exists to flag it for the marine sanctuary/protected-area program.
Fund it for $90. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.
Safety, read before you claim
No special training is needed. Document only from dry, stable ground above the tideline; never wade into the intertidal zone or turn your back on the surf, and retreat immediately if the tide rises or rocks become wet and slick.
The full safety list for this job:
- Never touch or collect any organism or rock.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Check the tide table and choose a safe low-tide window for the visit, and write down the tide times you used.
- Go to a dry, stable viewing spot above the tideline at the station the title names and record a GPS waypoint there.
- Take a wide photo of the whole rocky shelf and tidepool area from that spot.
- Take closer photos of the tidepools and rock surfaces from the same spot, using zoom.
- Note the species cover you can see, such as what covers the rock and roughly how much, from the photos and by eye.
- Note any visible stress, debris or disturbance in the pools and on the shelf.
- Enter the tide table check, the photos, the cover and condition notes and the GPS waypoint in the proof record.
What counts as done
- Tide table checked and the visit planned for a safe, low-tide window
- Photos of the tidepool/rocky-shelf area taken from a dry, stable vantage above the tideline
- Species cover and any visible stress, debris, or disturbance noted (observation only, no sampling)
- GPS waypoint confirming the observation point
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Coastal Habitat. Coastal habitat is the green fringe where land meets sea: eelgrass meadows, kelp beds, salt marsh. Acre for acre these are among the most life-giving places on Earth, nursery to the fish and buffer to the storm, and NOAA's assessment methods exist because they are quietly shrinking. Mastery looks like a person who can survey a stretch of shore and say, with evidence, whether the meadow is spreading or retreating. This packet is one piece of that watching: one site, one careful observation, one record added to the long ledger of the coast.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage, plus one Vealth service fee of 10% shown apart; the worker is paid the whole wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1784854638242_i5i0afw","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
