Build and install a wood-duck/songbird nest box at the Delevan refuge road frontage, site 1 -- Maxwell Road & Four Mile Road, Delevan NWR edge, Colusa County, CA (~4 mi east of Maxwell) (2026-07-24)

Delevan NWR's managed wetlands support wood ducks and other cavity-nesting birds, but natural nesting cavities are scarce along the public road frontage where a ground-mounted box could add real nesting capacity for the flyway season. Standard: US EPA National Wetland Condition Assessment rapid method; SDG 6.6/15.1. Proof: build photo + before/after mount photos + species-target/height record + GPS Method (US EPA National Wetland Condition Assessment rapid method; SDG 6.6/15.1.): 1. 1. Build the nest box off-site at a bench using an approved wood-duck/songbird box plan (correct entrance-hole diameter for the target species, predator guard, hinged inspection side). 2. 2. Transport the finished box to the road-frontage site adjacent to the refuge and select a post or low pole reachable from the ground -- no ladder, no climbing. 3. 3. Mount the box at a reachable height (about 4-6 feet) facing open water/marsh visible from the public road, angled slightly downward to shed rain, using hand tools only. 4. 4. Photograph the mounted box from the matching vantage and record the species-target, mount height, and orientation. Done when: build photo + before/after mount photos + species-target/height record + GPS

Pay
$110 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 45–90 minutes. Method of record: EPA National Wetland Condition Assessment (rapid method)

Bring

Steps

  1. 1. Navigate to the wetland edge; record GPS; stay on stable ground.
  2. 2. Photograph 3 quadrat stations.
  3. 3. At each station, estimate percent cover native vs invasive; identify the dominant invasive.
  4. 4. Note hydrology / water level and any disturbance.
  5. 5. Enter cover percentages, invasive ID, hydrology, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.

If it does not match the plan

What counts as done

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

Claim it on the board

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
