2. 2. Hand-pull small stems, rhizome sprouts, and elephant-ear corms by the root; for larger cane stems, cut at the base per the site's approved invasive-control protocol, staying on dry ground the whole time.
3. 3. Never enter the water or a saturated, unstable bank edge; a two-person minimum works within sight of each other near the water's edge.
4. 4. Bag and haul off cut material, photograph the cleared bank from the matching before vantage, and record the species and area treated.
