- 1. Walk the dry, accessible top of the public Nueces River bank at this reach and photograph the invasive giant cane, huisache-choke thicket, or buffelgrass stand as found.
- 2. Hand pull small buffelgrass clumps and huisache seedlings by the root; for larger cane stems, cut at the base per the site's approved invasive-control protocol, staying on dry ground the whole time.
- 3. Never enter the water or a saturated, unstable bank edge; a two-person minimum works within sight of each other near the water's edge.
- 4. Bag and haul off cut material, photograph the cleared bank from the matching before vantage, and record the species and area treated.
