All of it: the words, the place, the proof

Clear, loosen and mulch the street tree pit at a public right-of-way in Delano, CA. These pits are compacted, weed-choked and littered, slowly stressing the shade canopy. Restoring one pit gives that tree room to thrive. Confirm with the site's host before you claim: this listing does not mean the site asked for the work.

Fund it for $176. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Safety, read before you claim

No special training is needed; wear a hi-vis vest near traffic. Public sidewalk and host-invited frontage work only; hand tools, gloves and closed shoes; do not cut roots thicker than a finger; keep the sidewalk passable; call 811 before any digging.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • mulch for the pit

Steps

  1. Walk the frontage with the host and list every tree pit needing restoration.
  2. Hand-loosen the top 2 inches of compacted soil across each pit without cutting roots.
  3. Rebuild a watering basin at each pit's edge and remove trash and weeds.
  4. Top each pit with 3 inches of mulch kept clear of the trunk, then water deeply.
  5. Photograph each restored pit and record the count with GPS and date.

What counts as done

  • Before and after photos of each restored pit
  • Photo of the full frontage after work
  • GPS-tagged completion photo with date
  • Host confirmation: the site contact's name and role, and the date they agreed

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Urban Canopy. Urban canopy is the layer of leaves over a city, and it is infrastructure as surely as the pipes below the street: shade that cools a block in a heat wave, roots that drink a storm. The i-Tree protocol turns it into something you can count, tree by tree, so a city knows what it has and what it is losing. Mastery looks like a person who can read a whole street's trees at a walk. This packet is a piece of that census: a few trees observed carefully and recorded where the record counts.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment that backs the wage, plus one Vealth service fee of 10% shown apart; the worker is paid the whole wage. Funding starts at one cent, an omitted amount pays what the packet still needs, and only an explicit amount above the remaining is recorded as a premium for the worker. Money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1785462440940_7bmkv8d","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
