Steps
- Confirm the planting line with school facilities staff and clear of utility lines.
- Dig each hole roughly twice the width of the root ball and no deeper than it.
- Set each tree so the root flare sits at grade, then backfill and tamp gently.
- Stake each young tree loosely with two stakes and flexible ties.
- Water deeply and spread a mulch ring at each tree, keeping mulch off the trunk.
- Photograph the planted row with stakes and mulch rings visible.
