Keep a week-long winter air diary in an Ulaanbaatar ger district (2026-08-03)
Keep a week-long winter air diary in an Ulaanbaatar ger district (2026-08-03). Fund it for $140. Proof lands on-chain when it's done.
Ulaanbaatar's ger district winter smog is among the worst in the world, driven by hundreds of thousands of coal and wood stoves burning at once in a valley that traps the smoke, a simple daily diary from a fixed vantage point builds a real public record of how bad specific days get, document-only, no contact with any stove or fuel. Standard: WHO Global Air Quality Guidelines: SDG 3 & SDG 11 (air quality). Proof: Daily photo log plus written diary. Method (WHO Global Air Quality Guidelines: SDG 3 & SDG 11 (air quality).): 1. Choose a fixed public vantage point with a consistent view over the district. 2. Each day, photograph the same view at the same time. 3. Note visibility (clear, hazy, smog-obscured) each day. 4. Log the date and a one-line note. 5. Submit the completed 7-day diary. Done when: Timestamped photo of the same view each day; Written daily visibility note; Completed 7-day diary submitted
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it. Typically 45–90 minutes. Method of record: EPA NAAQS community ambient-air screening (PM2.5)
Bring
- calibrated PM2.5 monitor
- GPS phone
- wind/weather note source
- hi-vis vest
- camera
Steps
- 1. Choose >=3 points (near-source/roadside, mid, background); record GPS at each; stay off the roadway.
- 2. Photograph each monitoring location.
- 3. Log PM2.5 (ug/m3) at each point over a comparable peak period.
- 4. Record wind direction, time, and nearby source activity (e.g., truck traffic).
- 5. Compare readings to the NAAQS reference.
- 6. Enter the PM2.5 logs, wind/time, source note, GPS, photos into the proof record; sign.
If it does not match the plan
- Roadside work near heavy traffic -> stay off travel lanes; hi-vis at all times.
- Near-source PM2.5 well above background and NAAQS -> flag an environmental-justice exposure concern.
What counts as done
- Timestamped photo of the same view each day
- Written daily visibility note
- Completed 7-day diary submitted
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1785715910456_i5czmp5","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours, and signing costs nothing: no card, no deposit, no fee. An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
