Steps
- 1. Confirm the seasonal drawdown planting window and any required permit with TPWD or park staff, and photograph the target zone before starting.
- 2. From a shallow draft boat, operated only by a credentialed crew member, navigate the marked channels to the designated restoration zone within the drawdown exposed substrate.
- 3. Hand plant nursery grown bald cypress seedlings at the design spacing, and cage or flag each seedling to mark it and deter nutria or beaver browse.
- 4. Photograph the planted zone from the matching before vantage and record species and seedling count.
