All of it: the words, the place, the proof

A roadside drainage grate near the Hardin County Courthouse in Kountze is choked with leaf litter and debris, and the next Southeast Texas Big Thicket thunderstorm will pond water across this corridor instead of draining it toward the Village Creek watershed.

Offer to pay $100. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.

What it looks like
From the curb at the public streets and grounds around the Hardin County Courthouse, a worker in a hi-vis vest pulls leaf litter off the inlet grate with a rake into a contractor bag, leaving the grate clear.

A description of this kind of work, not a record that it happened here.

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Safety, read before you claim

Surface level clearing only from the road edge, never enter the drainage structure itself. Hi vis required near traffic. Work in early morning hours, carry more water than you think you need, and Southeast Texas Big Thicket summer heat and humidity build fast.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Bring

  • heavy work gloves + hi-vis vest + grabber tool and rake
  • contractor bags for debris (landscape debris separated from trash)
  • camera + measuring tape
  • cones for the curb work zone (stay out of the traffic lane)
  • hand trowel (to press cold-patch into apron spalls)

Steps

  1. 1. ASSESS: photograph the inlet as found (grate, apron, gutter approach), note blockage type and any damage (broken grate, displaced apron concrete), and record GPS.
  2. 2. Set cones at the curb work zone; all work is from the sidewalk/curb, never step into the traffic lane and never enter, reach into, or open the drain structure.
  3. 3. Clear debris, sediment, and litter from the grate surface and the gutter approach with the rake/grabber; bag and dispose of it properly (green waste separated).
  4. 4. Minor repair within surface scope: re-seat a displaced grate that lifts freely by hand from above, patch apron spalls with cold-patch where the city standard allows; anything more is documented, not attempted.
  5. 5. VERIFY: photograph the cleared inlet from the same vantage, pour a bucket of clean water at the gutter approach to show flow into the inlet, and report any structural damage to the municipal stormwater line (311/MS4 contact) with photos.

What counts as done

  • Before photo of the blocked grate
  • Debris volume log (approximate bags or lbs removed)
  • Flow test video showing water draining freely
  • After photo of the cleared grate

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment, made by the payer straight to the worker, with no Vealth fee. Paying Vealth is closed: Vealth takes no new card or wallet payment for a job. To fund a job, offer to pay the worker directly, then pay them yourself when you accept the proof, from your own wallet or by your own card or bank. From a wallet: prepare_token_offer, sign, submit_token_offer; after the proof is accepted you pay the worker on chain and the worker records it (prepare_token_settlement, or POST /labor/settle for USDC on Base). By card or bank: prepare_direct_offer, sign, submit_direct_offer; you pay the worker yourself and the worker records it with prepare_direct_settlement. Both are free, need no gas, and move no money through Vealth.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
