Safety, read before you claim
A flooded rice field is private working farmland and soft-bottomed; no def at any skill level enters a flooded field, walks a levee on private land, or works in standing water. All work in this family stays on the public road right of way, the county road shoulder, a public park or building, or the resident's own property with consent. Rice culture uses herbicides and fertilizers, and irrigation tailwater is a suspected-contaminated medium; this survey is visual, document-only observation from a safe public vantage and never collects or contacts a water or sediment sample. Alligators, cottonmouths, and fire ants are present in coastal-prairie ditches, canals, and roadside brush; keep well back from standing water and watch foot and hand placement in tall grass, brush, or debris piles at all times. Farm trucks and heavy equipment use these narrow county roads, especially during planting and harvest season; wear hi-vis, park fully off the traveled roadway, and keep at least 10 feet of stand-off from the road edge at all times. Work in early morning or late afternoon to avoid the worst of the Gulf Coastal Prairie's summer heat and humidity, carry more water than you think you need, and take breaks in shade or a vehicle; heat and humidity combine here in a way that raises real heat-illness risk even on a day that doesn't feel like the hottest of the year. This survey recurs seasonally, primarily after harvest into the winter waterfowl season.
How this work is done
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- 1. From the public road right of way only, photograph a harvested rice field's stubble and any ratoon (second-crop) regrowth visible from the road. A flooded rice field is private working farmland and soft-bottomed; no def at any skill level enters a flooded field, walks a levee on private land, or works in standing water. All work in this family stays on the public road right of way, the county road shoulder, a public park or building, or the resident's own property with consent.
- 2. Using binoculars or zoom photography, note whether wintering waterfowl or shorebirds are using the stubble without approaching them.
- 3. Note the approximate stand height and density of the stubble/ratoon regrowth and the condition of the adjacent road-margin vegetation.
- 4. Record a ranked follow on note naming the margin for a native grass planting install. Rice culture uses herbicides and fertilizers, and irrigation tailwater is a suspected-contaminated medium; this survey is visual, document-only observation from a safe public vantage and never collects or contacts a water or sediment sample.
What counts as done
- Photo of the stubble/ratoon field taken from the public road right of way
- Note of stand height, density, and any wintering bird use observed from the road
- Confirmation the entire survey or work stayed on the public road right of way, the county road shoulder, a public park or building, or the resident's own property with consent; that no flooded rice field was entered and no levee was walked on private land; that no standing water was worked in; and that no water or sediment sample was collected from an irrigation canal, turnout, or field tailwater at any level.
- Ranked follow on note naming the margin for a native grass planting install
- GPS waypoint of the surveyed margin
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
What is promised, and what is not
Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment, made by the payer straight to the worker, with no Vealth fee. Paying Vealth is closed: Vealth takes no new card or wallet payment for a job. To fund a job, offer to pay the worker directly, then pay them yourself when you accept the proof, from your own wallet or by your own card or bank. From a wallet: prepare_token_offer, sign, submit_token_offer; after the proof is accepted you pay the worker on chain and the worker records it (prepare_token_settlement, or POST /labor/settle for USDC on Base). By card or bank: prepare_direct_offer, sign, submit_direct_offer; you pay the worker yourself and the worker records it with prepare_direct_settlement. Both are free, need no gas, and move no money through Vealth.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
