From the guided tour route or Guadalupe River State Park's public day-use area only, photograph the vegetated buffer visible around the karst spring's recharge-to-discharge transition, the zone where aquifer water has emerged and is about to become the creek. This work never enters the creek or spring, never wades or steps into the water, never walks the creek bed, and never touches or disturbs the travertine formations or moss at any skill level.
2. 2. Note the buffer's approximate width, plant cover, and any bare or eroded gaps that let sediment or runoff reach the transition unfiltered.
3. 3. This documents the RECHARGE-TO-DISCHARGE buffer specifically, distinct from a generic spring-run corridor survey; state the transition zone's location relative to the spring outlet in the record.
4. 4. Record a ranked follow on note naming the buffer gap for a native-planting crew working on the park's public ground.

What counts as done

• Photo of the buffer condition taken from the guided tour route or the park's public day-use area
• Buffer width, plant cover, and any bare or eroded gap noted
• Confirmation that this job never entered Honey Creek State Natural Area outside a scheduled public guided tour; that it never entered the creek or spring, never touched or disturbed travertine or moss, and never collected any plant, animal, mineral, or water sample from the creek, spring, or river; that any river-adjacent work stayed bank-top only with the current weather and flash-flood forecast checked before starting; and that sturdy footwear, sun protection, and adequate water were carried given Hill Country heat and steep limestone footing.
