This work never enters the riverbed, never walks on the falls ledges or any bedrock ledge, never wades, never swims, and never crosses the channel at any skill level; the first three miles of the Pedernales River through this park, including the falls, are closed to swimming, wading, and tubing in real life because the scoured limestone channel and its flash floods have killed people here. All work stays bank-top, above and back from the visible scour line, on the maintained trail or behind a barrier at a designated overlook.
- 3. Hand collect and bag the trash and debris along the strandline, sorting recyclables where the park's program allows, staying above the scour line at all times.
- 4. Pack out the bagged debris to the park's designated receptacle and photograph the cleared strandline.
