All of it: the words, the place, the proof

The Longhorn-pasture boundary fence at Fort Griffin State Historic Site near the public trail stand-off at the Fort Griffin State Historic Site Longhorn-pasture boundary fence, site 3 has not had its fence-line contrast recorded; comparing the grazed and rested sides of the same fence is the classic rangeland method for reading what grazing management is doing to this Rolling Plains mixed-grass range, but no photo record exists yet to show a visitor.

Offer to pay $85. The receipt lands onchain once the proof is approved.

This job is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price, not money held for the worker. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash: recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Safety, read before you claim

This work never enters a pasture holding livestock, never approaches, herds, handles, restrains, treats, or feeds any animal, and never works among cattle, at any skill level. Longhorns are large animals with wide horns and cows with calves are dangerous; all observation and all work happens from a public trail, a designated visitor area, or the outside of a fence line, and the stand-off distance from any fence or animal is stated in this work's own method. Livestock handling is not this work's to perform under any circumstance. Any work at a demonstration exclosure plot happens only in ground the site's staff has specifically approved and confirmed as ungrazed, never inside an active pasture; confirm the plot location and boundary with site staff in person before any post or marker goes into the ground. All work at the earthen stock tank happens from the bank-top only, outside the pasture fence; this work never enters the tank, never wades into the water, and never collects a water sample at any skill level. No precise coordinate of the earthen stock tank or any other livestock water point is ever recorded or published by this work, in dry ranch country a concentrated water point draws wildlife and is a disturbance and poaching target, the same rule that keeps nest, den, roost, and karst-opening locations out of this library; this work states only the general public vantage it was observed or worked from. No organism is ever handled or collected, no wild seed is ever collected, and no plant is ever removed from the site at any skill level; no listed species is approached or disturbed. Shackelford County is almost entirely private ranchland; this work is confined to Fort Griffin State Historic Site's public grounds and trails, the US 283 public road right of way, public building grounds, or a resident's own home with the resident's consent, and never enters, crosses, or approaches private ranch land without an owner's direct permission, which this work does not have. Rattlesnakes and fire ants are present in this landscape; watch foot and hand placement around rock, brush, and low vegetation at all times, and give any snake a wide path rather than approaching it. Thorny mesquite is common; wear gloves and eye protection. Shackelford County is thinly populated ranching country; Albany is the only town of any size, cell phone coverage is unreliable over much of the county's public land and road corridors, and the nearest hospital is far away. Tell someone your planned route and return time before you start, carry more water than you think you need, and do not work alone in the backcountry. Texas Rolling Plains heat on open range and public road shoulder terrain is severe with thin shade; work only in early morning or late afternoon to avoid peak heat, carry more water than you think you need, wear sun protection and light colored breathable clothing, and take frequent shade breaks wherever any shade is available.

How this work is done

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. From a public trail or the park road, stand at least 10 meters back from the boundary fence and photograph both sides of the fence line in one frame: the Longhorn-pasture side and the rested or public-verge side.
  2. 2. Note the visible contrast in forage height, ground cover, and bare-ground share between the two sides, without crossing or touching the fence.
  3. 3. This documents the fence-line contrast method itself, a way of reading what grazing management does to the land without approaching any animal; state the observation point relative to the park landmark, never a precise coordinate of any livestock water point.
  4. 4. Record a ranked follow on note naming the site for an interpretive-signage crew.

What counts as done

  • Photo of both sides of the fence line in one frame, taken from at least 10 meters back
  • Description of the forage, ground cover, and bare-ground contrast observed
  • Confirmation that this work never entered a pasture holding livestock, never approached, herded, handled, restrained, treated, or fed any animal, and never worked among cattle, observing and working only from a public trail, designated visitor area, or the outside of a fence line with the stand-off distance stated; that any exclosure plot work happened only in staff-approved, confirmed-ungrazed ground, never inside an active pasture; that any earthen-tank work happened bank-top only, outside the pasture fence, never entering the water, wading, or sampling; that no precise coordinate of the earthen stock tank or other water point was recorded or published; that no organism, wild seed, or plant was collected or handled and no listed species was approached; that the work stayed within Fort Griffin State Historic Site's public grounds, the US 283 public right of way, public building grounds, or a consenting resident's own home and never crossed onto private ranch land; and that the county's remoteness, given Albany as the only town of any size and unreliable cell coverage over much of the county, was accounted for with a stated plan, return time, and water carried.
  • Ranked follow on note naming the site for an interpretive-signage crew
  • GPS waypoint of the public trail or road vantage

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

What is promised, and what is not

Three separate acts, never one: a vote is a free signed preference that moves no money; a pledge is free signed backing intent, balance-checked, that moves no money and never marks the packet funded; funding is a real payment, made by the payer straight to the worker, with no Vealth fee. Paying Vealth is closed: Vealth takes no new card or wallet payment for a job. To fund a job, offer to pay the worker directly, then pay them yourself when you accept the proof, from your own wallet or by your own card or bank. From a wallet: prepare_token_offer, sign, submit_token_offer; after the proof is accepted you pay the worker on chain and the worker records it (prepare_token_settlement, or POST /labor/settle for USDC on Base). By card or bank: prepare_direct_offer, sign, submit_direct_offer; you pay the worker yourself and the worker records it with prepare_direct_settlement. Both are free, need no gas, and move no money through Vealth.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee. Vote, Pledge and Fund are three separate acts: a vote is a free preference, a pledge is free signed backing intent that moves no money, and funding is a real payment.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.

Other acts: vote, pledge, fund
