What the work involves

The no-dig bed at this home near Hamilton, TX is established and ready for its next round of planting, and the easy shortcut is to rake the mulch back off the whole bed to plant, which undoes the very cover that has been building the soil since the bed went in.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm the bed's mulch layer is intact and the cardboard base beneath it has broken down enough to plant through, usually the season after the build rung.
  2. 2. At each planting spot only, part the mulch aside by hand just wide enough for the transplant's root ball, never raking back the whole bed's cover.
  3. 3. Set each seedling into the opening at its own planting depth, firm the surrounding soil around the root ball, and water in.
  4. 4. Pull the parted mulch back snug around each new seedling's stem, leaving the rest of the bed's cover undisturbed, and photograph the finished planting with the mulch restored around every plant.

What counts as done

  • Written or recorded permission from the resident
  • Photo of the mulch parted only at the individual planting holes, not raked back from the bed
  • Photo of each seedling firmed in and watered at its own planting depth
  • Photo of the finished bed with mulch pulled back snug around every new plant
  • Confirmation that the bed's mulch cover outside the planting holes was left undisturbed

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Edible Garden Cultivation. Edible garden cultivation is food growing done to the standards the land-grant universities have refined for a century: healthy soil in tested beds, the right crop in the right season, hand tools, patience, and records. Mastery looks like a Master Gardener's plot, beds that feed a family most of the year from a piece of ground the size of a parking space. Every gardener who reaches that point started with a single bed and a single season. This packet is that start: one bed built or tended properly, one honest note about what happened.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1786413665715_hjgo6zz","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
