What the work involves

The nightly cover habit at this home's pool is only as convincing as the number behind it, and without an actual measurement the household has no way to know whether skipping the cover on a busy night matters or not.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Choose two similar warm, calm nights roughly a week apart, one with the pool left uncovered overnight and one with the cover deployed, and mark the water line on the skimmer opening or a strip of tape on the tile with a permanent marker each evening, done from the deck without touching the water.
  2. 2. On the same trip, set two matched buckets of water side by side on a stable deck table or shelf well back from the coping, never at the water's edge; leave one open to the air and one loosely covered, as an evaporation reference for the night.
  3. 3. The next morning, from the deck, read the drop against each mark with a tape measure or ruler held at the fixed reference point, and read the level change in both buckets.
  4. 4. Record both nights' pool-level drop side by side with the bucket readings, and write the estimated evaporation-reduction percentage the cover is giving this household, feeding that number into the season's log.

What counts as done

  • Written or recorded permission from the resident
  • Photo of the water-line mark made on the skimmer opening or tile from the deck
  • Photo of the two deck buckets placed away from the pool's edge
  • Reading recorded for the uncovered night and for the covered night
  • Confirmation that every reading was taken from the deck or a fixed mark, with feet on dry deck surface the whole time

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Water Efficiency. Water efficiency is the quiet discipline of wasting nothing indoors. The EPA's WaterSense program sets the marks: how many gallons a minute a faucet should pass, how to find the leak that runs a toilet all night, how a household's water bill tells a story. Mastery looks like an auditor who can walk a home in an hour and find every hidden gallon. The skill is built one fixture at a time, which is exactly what this packet asks: measure one flow, find one leak, record one truth about where the water goes.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1786417264730_tk9b24f","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
