1. 1. Set up labeled stations at the tray-return belt: unopened/sealed items eligible for the share table, food scraps, liquids (milk poured into a liquid-only bin), recyclable trays and containers, and true trash.
2. 2. Train the student/volunteer sorting crew on the labels and the rule that any item already opened, bitten, or unsealed goes straight to food scraps or trash, never back to the share table.
3. 3. Run the station at every lunch period with cafeteria staff present at all times, redirecting sealed items to the share table and routing scraps to the food-scrap bin.
4. 4. Photograph the staffed station in use and confirm the day's routing with the supervising staff member.
