Fit a backflow preventer onto the outdoor hose taps.

Fund it for $80. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$80 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.

What the work involves

An ordinary garden hose left connected to an outdoor tap is a direct, unprotected link into the same pipes that feed the house and the street. If pressure in the main drops even briefly, from a nearby water main break, a hydrant opening, or a pump starting, water can be pulled backward out of whatever the hose end happens to be sitting in, a bucket, a puddle, a kiddie pool, and back into the drinking water system. A hose bib vacuum breaker is a small threaded brass fitting that closes that path; it costs a few dollars and screws onto a tap in under a minute.

Proof
resident permission plus before/after photos of each tap plus leak check plus fitted-tap count

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm the resident's permission and shut the water off at each outdoor tap before starting.
  2. 2. Screw a code listed ASSE 1011 hose bib vacuum breaker onto each outdoor tap by hand, then snug it a quarter turn with a wrench, never over tightening.
  3. 3. Turn the water back on and run the tap briefly to confirm the vacuum breaker holds with no leak at the threads.
  4. 4. Photograph the fitted vacuum breaker on each tap and record how many outdoor taps at the home now carry one.

What counts as done

  • Written or recorded permission from the resident
  • Confirmation that the water was shut off at the tap before the vacuum breaker was fitted
  • Before photo of the bare outdoor tap and after photo of the fitted vacuum breaker
  • Confirmation that the tap was run briefly afterward with no leak at the fitting
  • Count recorded of how many outdoor taps at the home now carry a vacuum breaker

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Drinking Water Safety. Drinking water safety rests on hard numbers: the EPA and the World Health Organization publish exact limits for lead, bacteria, nitrates, and the rest, the line between water that is safe and water that only looks safe. Clear water can fail the test; slightly cloudy water can pass it. Only the test knows. Mastery means clean sampling habits, honest custody of every sample, and readings a stranger can trust. This packet is one correct sample or one careful reading, taken by the book. Every safe glass of water stands on somebody having done this properly.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1786670484286_ovlza5h","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
