How this work is done

Steps

1. confirm with the resident whether the temperature dial or control has ever been checked, then locate it, commonly inside the fresh-food compartment or on a front panel, and photograph its current setting before touching it.
2. Leave an appliance thermometer inside the fresh-food compartment and the freezer overnight beforehand, or read the unit's own digital display if it has one, to confirm the current running temperature.
3. Adjust the fresh-food compartment to 37 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, turning the dial or control by hand to the nearest marked setting.
4. Mark the new setting with a small sticker and today's date, and photograph the adjusted control as the record.
