Steps

1. Once a year, locate the marked dial or control and dated sticker left by the prior visit and photograph the current setting against the mark.
2. Leave an appliance thermometer inside the fresh-food compartment and the freezer overnight to confirm the current running temperature against 37 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit fresh food and 0 degrees Fahrenheit freezer.
3. If the setting still lines up with the mark and the thermometer reading, re-photograph it in place; if it has drifted, turn it back to the correct mark by hand.
4. Refresh the sticker with a new date so it reads clearly for another year, photograph the confirmed or corrected setting, and leave the dated tag with the resident.
