intermediate work · the break room at a City of Floresville public works or parks maintenance facility, near the city offices at 1120 D St, Floresville, TX 78114 (public works, best-estimate location near the confirmed city-offices address, exact maintenance-facility address not confirmed)
Restore the clearance space behind and above the refrigerator, the break room.
Fund it for $15. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$15 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.
What the work involvesThis refrigerator sits pushed flat against the wall and cabinets with no room for the heat it moves to escape, so the compressor runs long and hot with nowhere for that heat to go.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet before any work behind or underneath it, then, with a City of Floresville public works staff member present, using furniture sliders under the front feet or a two-person lift, pull it straight out a short distance, keeping it upright and never tilting it more than a slight lean, and never pulling it by the door handle.
- Confirm the manufacturer's clearance spec, commonly printed on a label inside the unit or in its manual; if no label is found, use the standard minimum of about 1 inch on the sides and top and 2 to 3 inches behind.
- Set the unit back at the confirmed clearance gap using spacer blocks or a tape-marked stop point rather than pushing it flat against the wall again, and confirm nothing (curtains, cabinetry, stored boxes) blocks the top vent.
- Plug the unit back in, measure and photograph the final gap with a tape measure visible, and record the clearance distance used.
What counts as done
- Photo of the manufacturer's clearance label, or a note that none was found and the standard minimum was used
- Photo of the tape measure showing the final gap behind and above the unit
- Confirmation that the top vent and rear gap are clear of curtains, cabinetry, or stored items
- Confirmation that the unit was unplugged before it was moved and plugged back in before finishing
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Energy Efficiency Audit. Energy efficiency work begins with the walkthrough audit, the kind the ASHRAE standard describes: a trained eye moving through a building, reading the bills, the walls, the lights, and the equipment, and coming out with the short list of fixes worth doing first. Mastery looks like an auditor who can feel where a building is bleeding money within the hour, and prove it on paper. That instinct is trained by repetition on real buildings. This packet is one repetition: one system observed, one reading taken, one finding recorded the way the standard asks.
What is promised, and what is not.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1786672218536_4g8bx2r","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
