Steps
- With a City of Hallettsville public works staff member present, confirm both washer supply valves (hot and cold) are fully closed, then open the existing hose fittings slowly over a bucket or towel to catch any water still held in the line before disconnecting anything.
- By hand, unscrew the existing rubber hose from the wall valve and from the back of the machine, keeping the bucket or towel under both connection points.
- Hand-tighten the new braided-steel replacement hose onto the same wall-valve fitting and the same machine fitting, snug plus a quarter turn by hand only, no wrench and no thread sealant.
- Slowly reopen both supply valves, run a short fill, and check every connection point for drips before calling the swap finished, photographing the leak-free connections.
