Steps

Unplug the dryer from its outlet, or confirm with a City of Hallettsville public works staff member that the breaker feeding it is off, before doing any work behind or underneath it.
With a City of Hallettsville public works staff member present, using furniture sliders under the front feet or a two-person lift, pull the dryer straight out from the wall a short distance, keeping it upright and never tilting it more than a slight lean.
Inspect the flexible or semi-rigid duct section connecting the dryer to the wall vent. Slide the dryer back to the wall leaving the manufacturer's clearance gap so the duct is not immediately re-crushed, plug it back in, and photograph the restored duct run and the reconnected power cord.
