Anyone can start here · a resident's own home garden, near the town center, Refugio, TX 78377 (Refugio County; best-estimate location, exact address not confirmed)

Wrap exposed water pipes against hard winter freezes.

Fund it for $85. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$85 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.

What the work involves

This home's exposed water pipes carry no insulation, and the Gulf Coastal Plain's rare but severe hard freezes, the kind South Texas saw in the February 2021 winter storm, put them one cold night away from bursting, a repair bill this household cannot easily absorb.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Walk the resident's own home with the resident and identify exposed water pipes at risk of freezing (under-sink lines against an exterior wall, hose bibs, an exposed crawlspace or garage line); photograph each before wrapping.
  2. 2. Shut off any isolation valve feeding the section where safely accessible, and clean the pipe surface.
  3. 3. Wrap each exposed pipe with foam pipe insulation or heat-tape-rated wrap sized to the pipe diameter, sealing the seams and covering fittings and elbows.
  4. 4. Photograph the finished wrap at each location from the matching before vantage and confirm the wrap is continuous with no exposed gaps.

What counts as done

  • Written or recorded permission from the resident
  • Before and after photos of each wrapped pipe section
  • Wrap confirmed continuous with fittings and elbows covered, no exposed gaps
  • Isolation valve, if used, confirmed returned to its original position

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

DIY Weatherization and Air Sealing. Air sealing is the cheapest energy work there is, and the Department of Energy has spent decades proving it: a tube of caulk and a roll of weatherstrip, placed where the cold actually comes in, beat almost any gadget you can buy. This standard keeps the work occupant-safe: no wiring, no combustion equipment, no disturbing old paint. Mastery looks like hands that can find a draft with a bare palm and close it for good. This packet is one home's worth of that: find the gaps, seal them, photograph the proof.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1786673535827_3deoodt","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
