- 3. Identify the nearest existing public seed-sharing point already known to the resident or confirmed by a quick call, such as a public library branch, county extension office, or community garden's existing seed exchange; if none can be confirmed within reasonable reach, hold the packets in the cool, dark storage from the prior rung until the next community seed swap rather than leaving them at an unconfirmed site.
- 4. Carry the labeled envelopes to the confirmed receiving site and deposit them, or photograph the packets held in storage if no site was confirmed, and log the date and destination or hold status.
