How this work is done

Steps

1. 1. Confirm with county grounds staff whether the tree well has an existing root barrier, then photograph the tree well and adjacent sidewalk before work.
2. 2. Call 811 and confirm the dig zone is clear of buried utilities before any digging begins.
3. 3. Dig a narrow slot to the barrier spec depth along the sidewalk side of the tree well by hand, install the root barrier panel, and backfill without cutting any existing structural root.
4. 4. Mulch the finished tree well and photograph the backfilled, mulched installation.
