intermediate work · the public library branch, near the town center, Quitman, TX 75783 (Wood County; branch name and hours to be confirmed with library staff, best-estimate location, exact address not confirmed)

Build an off-wall vine frame and plant a shade vine.

Fund it for $195. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$195 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash. You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.

What the work involves

The reading room's west-facing ground-floor window at this library gets direct afternoon sun with no shade outside the glass. Confirm with library staff how window shading at this window is currently handled, then build a freestanding vine frame that stops that sun before it ever reaches the wall, one that grows more effective every year and drops its leaves each winter to let the low sun back in. This is not a substitute for this library's own shade-tree planting archetypes: a vine on a frame shades this window by the end of this summer, at a fraction of a tree's footprint and cost, where a newly planted shade tree takes roughly fifteen years to reach the same window.

Proof
library-staff confirmation record plus species watch-list confirmation plus frame gap photo plus planting photo plus utility-clear confirmation

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Confirm with library staff how window shading at this reading-room window is currently handled and confirm the planting area is clear of any irrigation line or buried utility, then photograph the bare wall and window before work.
  2. 2. Confirm the chosen vine species against the Texas Invasives / Texas Invasive Plant Database watch list before buying or planting anything; this rung plants Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia), a Texas-native deciduous vine.
  3. 3. Set the frame's footings with a post-hole digger or hand auger to a shallow depth, standing the finished frame at least 6 to 8 inches off the wall face on its own footings, never touching or leaning on the siding; assemble the frame with hand or cordless tools only.
  4. 4. Plant the vine at the base of the frame, mulch and water it in, and train the first growth onto the frame; photograph the finished frame and planting.

What counts as done

  • Written or recorded confirmation from library staff before any work
  • Confirmation that the planted species does not appear on the Texas Invasives / Texas Invasive Plant Database watch list
  • Photo of the finished frame standing at least 6 to 8 inches off the wall face on its own footings
  • Photo of the vine planted and watered in at the base of the frame
  • Confirmation that no digging occurred within an unconfirmed buried-utility location

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Energy Efficiency Audit. Energy efficiency work begins with the walkthrough audit, the kind the ASHRAE standard describes: a trained eye moving through a building, reading the bills, the walls, the lights, and the equipment, and coming out with the short list of fixes worth doing first. Mastery looks like an auditor who can feel where a building is bleeding money within the hour, and prove it on paper. That instinct is trained by repetition on real buildings. This packet is one repetition: one system observed, one reading taken, one finding recorded the way the standard asks.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1786674057009_weye4cg","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
