Steps

1. 1. Wait until after the season's first significant flow has fully drained, and confirm no rain is forecast for the watershed, before entering the channel.
2. 2. Walk the full chain, headcut step-pool, rundown, deflector, and one-rock dam, photographing each structure's current condition against its own original after-photo.
3. 3. Hand reset, re-key, or add rock to any structure that shifted, undercut, or silted in beyond its design intent, following the same hand-tools and height limits as the original build.
4. 4. Photograph each reset structure and record which of the four needed work this season and which held as built.
