How this work is done

Steps

1. 1. Confirm with the resident which windows and feeders are in scope, then act.
2. 2. Measure the full pane and mark a grid on painter's tape as a guide: no more than 2 inches between marks horizontally, no more than 4 inches vertically, corner to corner.
3. 3. Apply exterior-rated dot or line markers to the OUTSIDE surface of the glass at every grid point, working from the guide tape, then remove the tape.
4. 4. Photograph the finished pattern from outside, confirm no gap in the grid is wider than the working spacing, and record the pane's dimensions.

What counts as done

• Written or recorded permission from the resident
• Before photo of the untreated pane from outside
• After photo of the finished exterior marker pattern from the same outside vantage
• Confirmation that the marker spacing does not exceed 2 inches horizontally or 4 inches vertically anywhere on the pane
