How this work is done

Steps

1. 1. Confirm with the resident which windows and feeders are in scope, then act.
2. 2. Build a simple standoff frame from light furring strips sized to the pane, and attach it to the existing window trim or the adjacent wall only, never to the glass or sash.
3. 3. Stretch taut, exterior-rated bird netting or mesh across the frame, held at least 3 inches clear of the glass on every side so it flexes on impact instead of the bird hitting the pane.
