Author /.well-known/stac-catalog.json as a valid STAC Catalog: a JSON object with 'stac_version', 'type':'Catalog', an 'id', a 'description', and a 'links' array. Serve it with a JSON content-type. Why it matters: Open ecological and earth-observation data is useless to an agent that cannot find it. The SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC) is the standard, machine-readable index for geospatial datasets. A minimal STAC catalog document lets any STAC-aware agent walk your open data with no bespoke integration.
