Anyone can start here · Public vantage points along the New River channel parkway edge, Calexico, CA 92231
Keep the monthly photo watch on the New River channel from Calexico's public vantage points.
Fund it for $192. Proof lands onchain when it's done.
$192 proposed
This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.
Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.
What the work involvesThe New River enters the United States at Calexico carrying one of the worst pollution loads of any stream in North America: untreated sewage, industrial discharge, and trash from across the border. Cleanup projects move slowly and depend on documented conditions to keep funding and pressure alive. A monthly photographed watch from fixed public vantage points builds the community's independent record of flow, color, foam, trash rafts, and odor.
How this work is done
A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.
Steps
- Visit each fixed public vantage point on the route at the same time of day.
- Photograph the channel in the same framing every visit: upstream, downstream, and water surface detail.
- Log color, foam, visible trash load, flow level, and odor strength from the vantage distance.
- Note any new discharge, dumping, or channel change visible from public space.
- Compile the month's photo log and record it with GPS and date.
What counts as done
- Same-framing photo sets from each vantage point
- Completed condition log sheet
- GPS-tagged photo at one vantage point with date
Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.
The standard this serves
Watershed Health. A watershed is everything the land pours into a stream, and the stream keeps the record. The EPA's bioassessment method reads that record through the small creatures living in the gravel: mayflies and caddisflies mean clean water, only worms and midges mean trouble. Mastery looks like a person who can wade one riffle with a net and tell you how the whole valley is doing. That skill is built sample by sample. This packet is one of them: one site, one careful count, one entry in the long record of a stream.
What is promised, and what is not.
Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1787180758520_b8m65h1","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.
An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.
Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.
Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
