Anyone can start here · the public boat-ramp bank, Matagorda, TX 77457 (Matagorda County); best-estimate location near the town center, exact address not confirmed

Recover an unmarked jug line still fishing.

Fund it for $85. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$85 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.

What the work involves

A plastic jug bobs against the bank at this boat-ramp shoreline, its line running down to a baited hook below -- unmarked with any owner's name and long past the required daily check, it is still fishing on its own, catching and holding whatever takes the hook.

Proof
before photo + TPWD coordination confirm where relevant + no-wading confirm + catch-release photo + after photo + GPS

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. From the bank or dock, locate the jug and confirm it carries no legible owner tag and shows no sign of a recent check (drifted into shoreline debris, line fouled, algae-grown).
  2. 2. Confirm coordination with a TPWD game warden before removing jug lines found in numbers or in a posted closure area.
  3. 3. Using a reach pole or by hand from the bank or dock, draw the jug in by its line; never wade or swim out to reach a jug sitting beyond arm's reach.
  4. 4. Pull the line up hand-over-hand, freeing and releasing any live catch as the hook comes clear; cut a hook free of a swallowed bait rather than force it.
  5. 5. Coil the line around the jug, stage it for haul-out and disposal, and photograph the cleared spot.

What counts as done

  • Before photo of the jug and line at the shoreline
  • Confirmation of TPWD game warden coordination where relevant (multiple jugs or a posted closure area)
  • Confirmation retrieval was by hand or reach pole from the bank or dock, no wading or swimming
  • Photo of any live catch released
  • After photo of the cleared spot with GPS

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Coastal Habitat. Coastal habitat is the green fringe where land meets sea: eelgrass meadows, kelp beds, salt marsh. Acre for acre these are among the most life-giving places on Earth, nursery to the fish and buffer to the storm, and NOAA's assessment methods exist because they are quietly shrinking. Mastery looks like a person who can survey a stretch of shore and say, with evidence, whether the meadow is spreading or retreating. This packet is one piece of that watching: one site, one careful observation, one record added to the long ledger of the coast.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1787184620623_zpwtsli","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
