How this work is done

Steps

1. With each host, walk the yard and identify every container holding water: buckets, tires, plant saucers, toys, tarps, gutters' splash areas.
2. Tip out each container and either remove it, store it upside down, or drill drainage holes with the host's consent.
3. Scrub bird baths and pet bowls and refill with fresh water.
4. Note any large standing water the household cannot fix (ditches, abandoned pools) for a report to county vector control.
5. Photograph each cleared source with GPS and date and tally the count.
