- 1. 与园圃管理方确认桶位、承重地面和溢流去向，拍摄安装前照片。 | Agree the barrel position, the firm base and where the overflow goes with whoever runs the plot, and photograph the spot beforehand.
- 2. 整平并夯实桶位地面，放置垫台，确保满桶时稳固不倾。 | Level and firm the ground, set the barrel on its stand, and confirm it is stable when full.
- 3. 从屋檐落水口接入桶盖进水口，进水口加装可拆洗的滤网挡住落叶。 | Run the eaves outlet into the barrel's covered inlet and fit a removable mesh screen there to keep leaf fall out.
- 4. 安装溢流管，把溢流引到园内的下凹绿地或畦沟，绝不引向通道或邻地。 | Fit the overflow and lead it to a sunken green or a bed channel inside the garden, never to a path or a neighbour's ground.
