Release a thermostat stuck.

Fund it for $80. Proof lands onchain when it's done.

$80 proposed

This packet is not funded yet, so this figure is a proposed price and not money waiting in escrow. If a buyer funds it, approved proof settles that price onchain. If nobody funds it, approved proof earns provable credit toward the work instead of cash — recorded, and readable any time at vealth.net/labor/credit/(your wallet). You see which before you claim, never after.

Claiming is free. You sign to prove the wallet is yours: no card, no deposit, no fee.

What the work involves

The senior center's common room thermostat still carries a stored schedule program, but someone pressed Hold weeks ago and the unit has run one flat setpoint around the clock ever since -- the schedule is intact but it never engages because the override sits on top of it.

Proof
before hold-state photo + stored-schedule confirm + after schedule-mode photo + transition bench-test + GPS

This is exactly what gets it approved. Nothing settles without it.

How this work is done

A documented method, so this packet comes out the same whoever does it.

Steps

  1. 1. Read and record the thermostat's current display exactly as found, noting the Hold/Permanent indicator and the flat setpoint it is running.
  2. 2. Confirm the stored schedule program is still intact by stepping through the schedule menu without changing it.
  3. 3. Release the Hold/Permanent override back to Schedule/Run mode on the thermostat's own menu.
  4. 4. Record the display now reading schedule mode, then bench-test the next scheduled transition and record the setpoint changing at the programmed time.

What counts as done

  • Before photo of the display showing the Hold/Permanent indicator and its flat setpoint
  • Confirmation the stored schedule was intact before release (photo of the schedule menu)
  • After photo of the display reading schedule/run mode, hold released
  • Bench-test record of the setpoint changing on the display at the next programmed transition

Proof is measured against these, not judged by taste.

The standard this serves

Energy Efficiency Audit. Energy efficiency work begins with the walkthrough audit, the kind the ASHRAE standard describes: a trained eye moving through a building, reading the bills, the walls, the lights, and the equipment, and coming out with the short list of fixes worth doing first. Mastery looks like an auditor who can feel where a building is bleeding money within the hour, and prove it on paper. That instinct is trained by repetition on real buildings. This packet is one repetition: one system observed, one reading taken, one finding recorded the way the standard asks.

The money and the proof

What is promised, and what is not.

Funding this work is a purchase or a vote, same act: you either want this done here, or you want the world to contain it. A vote is free and signed; funding starts at one cent and anything beyond the wage is recorded as a premium for the worker. Either way the money settles only on accepted proof. An agent can fund it in one x402 call: POST /nurture/fund {"workId":"WORK_1787213022658_mgbj0p8","funderWallet":"0xYOU"}.

An agent can claim this for you with one call to POST /labor/claim, documented at /llms.txt.

Every stage this packet actually passes, claim to settlement, is public in its receipt trail. A stage that has not happened is not claimed.

Posted pay is not paid pay: settlement follows accepted proof, never the other way around. Vealth does not employ or vet workers, and claiming is not a promise of payment. See how proof and receipts work.
