How this work is done

Steps

  1. Set 6–10 permanent photo points (GPS plus a small stake or rock cairn) across the parcel's zones and shoot the standard four-direction photo set at each.
  2. Walk belt transects between the points recording shrub species and percent cover, burrows, tracks and scat, with a photo of each.
  3. Record incidental wildlife (birds, reptiles, lagomorphs) with the time and GPS of each sighting.
  4. Compile the baseline sheet: species list, cover estimate per zone, and the photo-point index a repeat survey will re-shoot.
